Sculpture

Most of my sculpture is figurative, and my figures tell a story - like when you're at a cafe, people-watching, and imagine the stories that each of the passer-bys tell.   I was trained in lost - wax bronze casting, but I have adapted that to casting resin.  There has been a learning curve!
  

Painting

I paint in acrylic.  The canvas varies, since I experiment with different fabrics and presentations.    The texture of a painting surface helps tell the entire story of the painting. 
I am somewhat influenced by Greco-Roman mythology. 

 I am an artist at heart - I graduated with a BFA from the University of Illinois, where I learned to cast bronze.  Currently, I'm using the lost-wax process to cast resin figures.  I also paint - acrylics - and do floorcloths and murals for the home.

When I'm not working on my art, I'm spending time with my family : two dachshunds - Daugherty & Deucalion - and my two cats - Euthymia & Falia.
